29 March 1857 – Sepoy Mangal Pandey of the 34th Regiment, Bengal Native Infantry mutinies against the East India Company’s rule in India. It resulted in the Indian Rebellion of 1857, also known as the Sepoy Mutiny. Later Mangal Pandey was executed on 8 April 1857.

29 ਮਾਰਚ 1857 – ਬੰਗਾਲ ਨੇਟਿਵ ਇਨਫੈਂਟਰੀ ਦੀ 34ਵੀਂ ਰੈਜੀਮੈਂਟ ਦੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਮੰਗਲ ਪਾਂਡੇ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਈਸਟ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਕੰਪਨੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਬਗਾਵਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸਦੇ ਨਤੀਜੇ ਵਜੋਂ 1857 ਦਾ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਵਿਦਰੋਹ ਹੋਇਆ, ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਵਿਦਰੋਹ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੰਗਲ ਪਾਂਡੇ ਨੂੰ 8 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ 1857 ਨੂੰ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ।
